CIC Q2 2024 RESULTS
CIC generated consolidated earnings of Php541 million in Q2 of 2024. This was double the earnings last year driven by effective sales strategies, improved customer engagement and strong summer demand.
Net sales reached Php6.0 billion, a 37% increase from last year. Including its associate CMI, the group’s net sales grew to Php7.7 billion or 46% growth.
The Consumer business achieved Php4.6 billion in net sales, a 42% increase versus prior year, driven by growth in all product categories. While the Commercial business contributed sales of Php1.4 billion, a 25% growth, due to higher sales of HVAC equipment and timely delivery of elevator equipment and project advancements.
Gross profit for the quarter grew 58% versus last year, to Php2 billion, on the account of higher sales, favorable factory absorption and procurement savings. Operating expenses increased to support sales growth but at slower pace, indicating improved productivity.
